Pecros.com - Eyes are the window of the world. With our eyes, our various activities can be done more easily. For this reason, maintaining eye health should be our main priority especially if we often work with digital screens for a long time. Practice a few tips below to always maintain your eye health!

1.Practice the rule 20-20-20
Working in front of a digital screen can make your eyes tired and dry quickly. For that you can practice the rules 20-20-20 that have been agreed by experts as a way to keep your eyes from being too 'tormented'. Every 20 minutes, rest your eyes by looking at a distance of 20 feet (6 meters) for 20 seconds.

2. Use solar glasses!
Sun radiation can cause cataracts in the eyes to grow faster. For this reason, if you are outdoors, use solar glasses that protect you from UV-A and UV-B. Hats or umbrella can also help protect your eyes from ultraviolet light.

3. Use eye protection glasses.
If you work with chemicals or tools that can harm your eyes, you should use eye protection glasses to avoid physical or chemical trauma that can cause blindness.

4. Healthy food for the eyes
Eye health is influenced by the health of nerve cells and blood vessels. For that, you should consume foods that are good for blood flow such as fruits, dark green vegetables, and wheat.
Foods which contain high zinc such as beans, lean red meat, poultry meat can protect the eyes from damage due to the light.

5. Compress with cold water
Usually, we use to compress our eyes with cold water to reduce swelling, but this method can also make our vision clean and clear. This method can be done by pouring cold water on a bowl or water mixed with ice cubes. After that, dip the clean cloth or handkerchief into cold water then squeeze it and stick it to the eyelids. Compress the eyes in a sleeping position, making the eyes more comfortable.

6. Compress with a Tea bag
The natural ingredients such as flavonoids in teabags will relax your eyes. You can try this method by dipping the tea bag into the water. After that, put it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Compress the eyes with the tea bag while lying down. Let stand for 15 minutes, then clean it with a towel.
