Pecros.com- When was the last time you cried? Maybe you shed tears after watching a sad movie, job frustration, or breaking up. Well, whatever the reason, you don't have to be embarrassed or sorry for crying! Crying is actually has benefits your physical and mental health.
According to many psychotherapists, crying is good for health because it can release negative energy from the body and replace it with new positive energy. Therefore, you do not have to hold back tears if you are emotional - crying is good for you!

1.Releasing restrained emotions
Crying can help a person release and free both positive and negative emotions. Emotions are finally channeled through the satisfaction and relief of someone after crying. Crying provides emotional release of negative feelings, stress, and frustration.

2. Reducing stress
Crying can reduce the stress hormone called cortisol. There are also several chemical elements in emotional cries such as protein prolactin, adrenocorticotropic hormones, and endorphin leucine-enkephalin, which can reduce pain.
Crying can provide a feeling of relief. Crying is also a safe and effective way to deal with stress.

3. Kill bacteria
Tears can also be a good way to kill bacteria. Tears contain liquid lyzozyme which can kill 90-95 percent of bacteria in just five to 10 minutes.
One study found that tears have strong antimicrobial strength by producing lyzozyme. Lysozyme can kill certain bacteria by destroying bacterial cell walls.
4. Improve Mood
A study conducted by the University of South Florida proved that crying can soothe and improve mood very effectively (even exceeding the effects of antidepressants!).

5. Improve vision
Tears function as lubricants for eyeballs that will make your vision better. According to the National Eye Institute, tears in the eye can also cleanse the eyes from dust and dirt

6. Remove toxins
Tears released by the body due to stress can help reduce stress hormones known as cortisol. A research conducted by St. Paul Ramsey Medical Center proves that like sweating and urinating, tears also emit toxins and endorphins called enkephalin which can reduce pain
